Lawmakers Begin Planning to Protect Privacy Against Drones

Despite the recent ruling to allow Internet service providers the ability to sell customer’s browsing data, congress seems to be pretty concerned with privacy when it comes to drone use. So far it seems hat the main concern is with the use of automated drones that can collect sensitive or personal information on millions of Americans.

“Drones flying overhead could collect very sensitive and personally identifiable information about millions of Americans, but right now, we don’t have sufficient safeguards in place to protect our privacy,” said Senator Markey, a member of the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee.
