Explosion in New York

On Saturday a bomb explosion in New York injured 29 people. Governor Andrew M. Cuomo said “there is no evidence of an international terrorism connection with this incident.”

The device used for the attack was a pressure cooker–the same explosive device used in the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013–filled with shrapnel, flip phones and Christmas lights. According to a New York Times article, there was a person of interest in the bombing, but no arrests have been made and it’s unclear if the person has been identified.

I think it’ll be interesting to see how this story unfolds in the next few days.
